    Hi Lysa-C,
Thanks for your timely tips. Currently I have two adds running on FB. I am reaching a lot of people; however, my percentage of engagement is low. I’m wondering how to get more people engaged and then once they are engaged, how to turn them into conversions. Do you have any ideas?

      Hi Kathy

Thanks for your comments and such a great thought provoking question. There’s a few things that I’d have to know about your ads first before identifying the right solutions…But in general here’s what I’d suggest…

      1. Try A/B testing with your ads – using the same ad but changing 1 or 2 variables of the ad to see what works best.

      2. Soft selling – post ads that ask questions, have a freebie or that are a little tongue and cheek – remember most FB users are looking for day to day regular content to brighten up their day – not heavy sales ads.

      3. Ask your fans – have you researched your audience to find out what they would want? Maybe you could post helpful solutions and tips – don’t be afraid to ask them how you can help them 😉

      4. Are your competitors on FB? – as I mentioned in the vid, there’s nothing wrong with being inspired by your competition, sign up to their mailing lists, see what they’re promoting…maybe you could add your individual spin.

…Let us know how you get on and best of luck!

Thanks so much for these tips! I am just starting out with my own blog and I haven’t even started to take advantage of social media yet.

So these tips I am sure will help me out when I have enough posts written out to where it is time to add social media into my repertoire.

I really liked tip #2. I had never even thought of looking into my competition’s most popular social media posts.

Do you have any advice, or possibly even other posts, on how I could get started with social media to grow my online business?

Thanks again for this video! It was short and sweet but had some information that will definitely help me out in the future.

A great video Lysa, I’ve just shared this and I’m following you on Twitter!

I really the SEO checklist you give out, I’m going to start using straight away.

The biggest tip I liked was to watch what your competitors are doing, I heard a podcast from proBlogger recently where he talked about spending just 5 minutes a day looking at your competitor’s sites with anotebook and pen and write down what you like, how do they share on social media, how do they encourage engagement and that knd of thing – you give great advice!

Thansk so much, great to be connected with you!

Thanks so much for all your support Simon!

Yes, knowing your competition is one of the top secrets of the best marketing managers and something they invest a lot of time/money in.

Great to be connected – would love to hear how you get on.
